The participants will form a roda, or circle and take turns either playing musical instruments( such as Berimbau), singing or ritaully sparring in pairs in the center of the circle. The sparring is marked by fluid acrobatic play, feints, takedowns and with extensive use of leg sweeps, kicks, and headbutts.

JOTA T-SHIRT 2010!
Q Rover Scouts are working with the Street Scouts Project of Uganda Scout Association to raise funds for the education of the street children of Kampala. In order to generate this fund, Q-Rover is selling a JOTA T-SHIRT 2010 starting from 26/9/2010. Funds collected will be dedicated to the Street Scouts Project (established since 1996) under the educational support.
JOTA JOTI 2010 (Jamboree On The Air/Internet) is next month (15th-17th October 2010). It will be a good idea to wear this T-shirt during the event itself.

JUNE 13th, 6pm: Several areas of Kota Damansara were affected by a heavy but short and devastating storm that caused the rooftops of several houses and apartments a lot of damage. Some residents also reported having rain water soaking into their homes from the storm.
TRAX, Malaysian Nature Society along with Q Rovers helped in clearing the trail in the Kota Damansara Community Forest (KDFC) affected by the storm. The devastation can be seen as we walked into the forest and found that both large and small trees were uprooted and has fallen everywhere causing a block on the trail.
We started clearing at around 8.30am and ended at 10am successfully clearing most of what obstructed the path.
Around 15 to 20 of us from TRAX, MNS and QR helped in clearing the trail to ensure safe journey of future hikers and nature lovers who frequents the KDCF.
This event also serves as a learning experience for our newest member of the Q Rovers ~ Sukhito Tanawal from Indonesia.
As for yours truly (Norma) ~ the usual task of keeping people together for a greater cause- SOLIDARITY.
Finally, a big THANK YOU to Ms Pasupathy Jayaraj for inviting us to lend a helping hand in conserving mother nature.

We have been learning from the kind Seascouts of Melaka on kaykking and the lot. Recently we had the chance to go all the way to Pulau Upeh-around 7 km from Klebang shores.
More pictures can be viewed in our photo album in qrovers.vox.com or even in our Facebook group photo album. I know we have been quiet since the conclusion of the Scout Conference 2009. Well it has been tiring but memorable experience for all of us. One of our member, Daniel is now in Kanderstag Internation Scout Centre working at the centre and will return in September. Wish him well over there. Here are some pictures from the Conference. Enjoy!
Till then, wish us all luck in our endeavours in creating a better world through scouting. Ciao!
